Battalion - Year and Title

1859 - 15th Middlesex (London Scottish) Rifle Volunteers.

Raised from Scotsmen resident in the City of London.

1880 - Renumbered the 7th Middlesex (London Scottish) Rifle Volunteers.

1881 - The 7th (London Scottish) Rifle Volunteers, were allotted to the Rifle Brigade of the regular army as one of its volunteer battalions.

1908 - 14th (County of London) Battalion, The London Regiment (London Scottish) (TF).
